Terms
User Agreement
These terms describe the rules for using kodx.ai, pairing machines, downloading the desktop companion, and sending actions to Codex sessions.
Last updated May 6, 20261. Agreement
These terms form an agreement between you and kodx.ai ("kodx.ai," "we," "our," or "us"). By creating an account, downloading the companion, or using the website, mobile app, or related services, you agree to these terms.
If you use kodx.ai on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these terms for that organization.
2. The service
kodx.ai helps you monitor Codex projects and sessions from a mobile device, review session state, send replies, approve actions, and pair a desktop companion with machines that you control.
kodx.ai does not replace your responsibility to review generated code, commands, approvals, or other outputs before you act on them.
3. Accounts and eligibility
- You must be at least 16 years old to use kodx.ai.
- You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
- You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
- You must provide accurate account information and keep it current.
4. Paired machines
Only pair machines that you own or are authorized to control. You are responsible for all actions sent to a paired machine through your account.
You should disconnect machines that are lost, shared without authorization, compromised, or no longer under your control.
5. Acceptable use
- Do not use kodx.ai to violate laws, infringe rights, or compromise systems you do not own or administer.
- Do not attempt to bypass access controls, rate limits, verification gates, or security features.
- Do not upload or transmit malware, credential dumps, or content intended to harm other users or systems.
- Do not resell, lease, or provide access to kodx.ai without written permission.
6. Your content and actions
You retain ownership of project names, session content, replies, approvals, and other information you provide through the service. You grant us the rights needed to process that information to operate, secure, and improve kodx.ai.
You are responsible for deciding whether to approve or reject any action proposed by Codex or another tool. Review commands, file changes, and generated output before approving them.
7. Third-party services
kodx.ai works alongside third-party developer tools and infrastructure providers. Those services are not controlled by kodx.ai and may have separate terms, privacy policies, pricing, rate limits, and availability.
8. Software downloads and updates
The desktop companion may be updated from time to time. Some download links may require a signed-in, verified account and may expire. You are responsible for installing updates and using supported versions.
9. Availability and changes
We may add, remove, suspend, or change features as the product evolves. We may also suspend access to protect the service, comply with law, or respond to misuse.
10. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that kodx.ai will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated output from third-party tools will be correct, secure, or suitable for your use.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, kodx.ai will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption arising from your use of the service.
