kodx.ai ("kodx.ai," "we," "our," or "us") provides a mobile app and desktop companion for managing Codex sessions across your own machines.

This Privacy Policy applies to the kodx.ai website, mobile app, desktop companion, account flows, download gate, and related services.

It does not apply to third-party services that you choose to use with kodx.ai, including Codex or other developer tools. Those services are governed by their own policies.

3. Information we collect

We collect the information needed to create your account, pair your devices, show session state, and send the actions you choose back to your paired machine.

• Account information such as email address, display name, authentication identifiers, and verification status.
• Project and session information such as project names, session titles, statuses, timestamps, agent summaries, approval prompts, replies, and error state.
• Pairing and device information such as companion name, connection status, app version, platform, and last synced time.
• Download and access information such as the release requested, time of request, and whether the account was verified.
• Support messages and feedback you send to us.
• Usage, diagnostic, and analytics data used to understand reliability, performance, and product usage.

4. What stays on your machine

The desktop companion is designed so your Codex credentials remain on the machine where Codex already runs. kodx.ai receives session state and the actions you choose to send, not your local credential store.

Do not paste secrets, private keys, passwords, or confidential source code into replies or support messages unless you intentionally want that content processed by the service.

5. How we use information

• To authenticate users and protect desktop companion downloads.
• To show projects, sessions, agent activity, approvals, replies, errors, and recent state in the mobile app.
• To route user-selected actions back to paired machines.
• To troubleshoot support requests, investigate reliability issues, and improve the product.
• To protect the service, prevent abuse, enforce terms, and comply with legal obligations.

6. Sharing and service providers

We do not sell personal information. We share information only as needed to operate kodx.ai, comply with law, protect users, or complete a business transaction such as a merger or acquisition.

We use service providers for hosting, authentication, storage, analytics, observability, email delivery, and software distribution. These providers may process information for us under their own security and privacy commitments.

7. Cookies and analytics

The website may use cookies or similar technologies for basic site functionality, theme preferences, analytics, and abuse prevention. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

If analytics is enabled, we use aggregated usage signals to understand which pages and flows are working. We do not use kodx.ai data for third-party advertising.

We retain account, project, session, pairing, and diagnostic information for as long as needed to provide the service, support users, improve reliability, and meet legal obligations.

If you request account deletion, we will delete or de-identify personal information from active systems within a reasonable period unless retention is required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or legitimate business records.

10. Your choices

• You can stop using the service and disconnect paired machines.
• You can request access, correction, export, or deletion of your account information by contacting support@kodx.ai.
• You can control browser cookies and analytics through browser settings and available consent controls.
• You can revoke app permissions through your operating system settings.

11. Children

kodx.ai is intended for developers and professional users. It is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
